The City Looking out across the Atlantic Ocean
from the Bay of Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María is an
Andalusian town set among beautiful beaches bathed in
sunshine for 300 days a year.
It's position on the "Coast of Light" (Costa de la Luz)
and its Mediterranean climate make it a popular holiday
destination for Spaniards. The surrounding region is famous
for its "vino de Jerez" sherry, its mountains with their
picturesque white-washed villages, its seafood cuisine, and
best of all, the exuberant spirit of the Andalusian people
so evident in the carnival, Holy Week, fairs, flamenco and
traditional singing and dancing.
Estudio Sampere is in the heart of El Puerto de Santa
María, in a quaint and lovely building in traditional El
Puerto architecture. Recently refurbished, it has 12
air-conditioned classrooms, and a pretty Andalusian patio. A
young and dynamic team headed by Cristina Sampere runs the
school. The focus is on excellent teaching in a lovely
setting, and methods and materials are constantly updated.
Sampere El Puerto is open from February 28 to November 4.
